On September 16th, 2019, I woke up in my tent set at Michino-eki Kawara at 5:30. I could not sleep well last night because of the noise of the motor cycle gang. I brush my teeth in the restroom of Michinoeki and started to walk at 7:10.
On the shore of the beautiful Kure reservoir, I saw a classical natural food restaurant, Gokichi-ann.
Passing through the Kawara pottery studio, entered the climbing route to Mt. Osaka. I arrived at the top of Mt. Osaka at 8:52. There was no good view from the top because of the trees. At the top, I had a breakfast of rice balls.
From Mt. Osaka, I walked down south to Osaka-village and dropped by Matsuki-Orchard at Taniyama-village. There was an orchard sales office and a café. I had lunch at the cafe, for chicken curry. The curry was quite rich and delicious. At 11:30, I left the cafe because many customers were waiting in line. After another 3 km walk, I arrived at final destination of Genjino-Mori Station at 12:40 after passing through Tamine and Yamashibu villages.
In Genji-no-Mori area, there were campsite, Onsen and restaurant. I really enjoyed the Onsen after long distance walk. It was a nice place to spend time with fresh air. At 15:01, I took on the Heisei Chikuho Railway on the way back to Fukuoka, and returned to Fukuoka at 17:30.
