Today is Saturday. Monday is a holiday on Adults' Day. I can get three consecutive holidays, for the first time in two months. I finished my job exactly at 12:03 and went home in a hurry. I changed my clothes for trekking and left home at 12:35.
I got on the subway at 12:51, changed to Nishitetsu train at Yakuin station, and arrived at Tofuro station in Dazaifu at 13:31. After walking for about 10 minutes, I arrived at the site of the Dazaifu Government Office. This was the end of the previous Kyushu Nature Trail trekking. The trekking restarted from here. At the west of the site of the Dazaifu Government Office, there was Sakamoto Shrine, which was related to the era of Reiwa. Worshipers were still in line today.
From Sakamoto Shrine, trail went through the residential area, spotted historical sites, such as Kokubunji ruins, and Mizuki ruins. Mizuki was a 2 km long fort to protect Dazaifu. There was a big museum on the site, and I watched a video guide regarding the Mizuki.
Currently, National Highway Root 3, Kyushu Expressway, JR and Nishitetsu penetrated Mizuki. It was difficult to cross over here. Cars could cross these traffic, but it was hard to find the way to cross on my foot. It took nearly an hour to get over it. Here, the map of Kyushu Nature Trail was useless.
After a further 3km of walk, I had a late lunch at 15:40. I took lunch at a popular udon restaurant Daichi-no-udon. The udon here was strong and very good taste.
At about 1km from udon restaurant, I could see the entrance of Mt. Tenpaisan. Many local climbers were coming. Mountain trail was well maintained. Arrived at the mountaintop at 17:05 and I enjoyed the beautiful view of the city of Dazaifu.
Since the sunset was still early, I proceeded in rush from the top of Mt. Tenpaisan to the Lake Tenpai. Because there was a sports park on the map, I thought a lawn open space should be there. About one kilometer walk from the summit of Mt. Tenpaisan, trail turned to a well-maintained paved road, and arrived at Lake Tenpai at 18:05. As I expected, there was a lawn field. I set up a tent in a lawn field, and started preparing for dinner.
